Описание: BookPrinXP - программа для МС-Windows 9x и Win 2000/XP. Эта программа печатает буклеты или книги и сохраняет краску и бумагу печатая вплоть до 16 страниц на обеих сторонах листа. Серия буклетов объединена, чтобы формировать книгу. BookPrintXP работает как драйвер принтера, который может быть использован любым приложением. Для печати буклетов могут быть накоплены несколько рабочих мест распечатки. Например Вы можете напечатать буклет, который содержит несколько тем help файла. Это сделано посредством выполняющей функции распечатки help системы для каждой темы. В общих чертах BookPrintXP можно использовать, чтобы печатать программные описания (readme.txt), help файлы, поваренные книги, книги с адресами, программные исходные листинги, электронные публикации и т.п.. Программа также печатает объявления(плакаты). Программа также обрабатывает рабочие места распечатки файлов образа(изображения) .
The program prints booklets or books and saves paper by printing 2, 4, 8, or 16 pages on both sides of a sheet (with or without a duplexing printer). A series of booklets are combined to build a book. BookPrint makes it easy to produce handsome booklets or books by rearranging the order in which the pages in your document are printed so the sheets can be folded in half to form a 5" by 8" booklet, or cut in half and inserted into binder. You can review the pages before printing the booklet. BookPrint, when used correctly, completely eliminates the need for all paper shuffling, either before printing the reverse side or after the final document is printed.
With the 2x8 Pages, 2x16 Pages, 2x32 Pages functions up to 64 pages may be printed per sheet. With this functions the pages are arranged in ascending sequence row by row. In contrast to the Tiled folders function the sheets are not to be cut or folded. You may use the 2x32 Pages function to copy picture files per Drag and Drop.
BookPrint operates as a printer driver that may be used by any Windows application that provides a Print function. If BookPrint is defined as the standard printer, you simply start BookPrint with the print function of the current application. Otherwise you select the BookPrint driver from the list of printers from the printer setup dialog of the application.
From any application you send a print job to the BookPrint-Manager by means of the BookPrint- Driver. The jobs remain there stored until the accumulated jobs are printed on the same booklet on the real printer. For example you may print a booklet that contains several topics of a help file. Execute the print function of the help system for each topic to do this.
BookPrint uses the EMF-file format for spooling the print jobs and requires the support of this format by the application. This EMF-format is supported by most applications among which there are the MS-Office products and Adope Acrobat Reader (Version 4.0.and higher). Some few applications do not support the EMF-format and thus do not support BookPrint. Samples of those applications are Acrobat Reader 3.1 and Fax-programs.
If you print a book that requires more then 40 pages, you get a sequence of booklets. Each but the last booklet comprises 40 pages. The page numbering continues with the continuing booklets.
